Style Guide

I know it can be overwhelming to pick outfits, whether it is for engagements, families or anything in between.

Here are some tips to help you get thinking about what works best for your photoshoot in Moab!

Color Palette

When in doubt, neutrals are the way to go. They always photograph very nicely against our vibrant backdrops. This doesn't mean you can't wear some color though! I would just try to avoid super bright colors or very orange tones, they tend to "steal the show" or blend in with our red rocks.

Mix + Match

We're going for a look that compliments each other rather than matching exactly. Mixing solids, patterns, layers, textures within the same color palette is a favorite!

Get Fancy!

Dressing up can be really fun! Just make sure you are all keeping up with the same level of formality. One thing to also keep in mind is footwear. Most locations require hiking or walking around on uneven ground. It's a good idea to bring a comfortable pair of shoes that can easily be slipped on and off as we move between spots.

Stay True

Stay true to yourself. If it's not something you (or your kids) would normally wear, you might not feel your best wearing it for the first time on a photoshoot where it's already a little hard to feel comfortable. Choose something that fits your personalities and makes you feel happy and confident!
